In major markets several hundred viewers have allowed Nielsen to hook their Televisions to machines that record what they are watching and transmit that information to Nielsen which tabulates the data, multiplies it by a correction factor and that gives the overnight ratings.
Three times a year Nielsen holds "Sweeps weeks" where they have viewers across the country keep diaries of what they are watching every hour of the week. These sweeps are held to establish the correction factor used for the "overnights." The Networks and local stations broadcast special stunt programs in an attempt to skew the ratings their way during sweeps week.

I read the novel just before the film came out, and as I was reading it, I thought, "They won’t show kids this scene," or "They won’t tell kids that," and I was right. They changed the content, dumping some scenes and adding made up stuff. I thought the movie was OK, but not a faithful rendition of the book.

IMDB rating: 5.90 Plot: Jimmy runs away to be by himself after a bad day at school. He takes his flute down by the sea to relax. When he lays the flute down it becomes alive. (Turns to solid gold with diamond studs). Plotting to steal is a witch named Witchiepoo. Jimmy hops aboard a beautiful magic talking board that wants to take him out to sea. But the boat actually belongs to the Witch… who turns the boat back into a black evil craft meant to trap Jimmy and bring him to her. But Jimmy escapes from the boat and makes a swim for land. A Dragon named Pufnstuf was watching the whole event between Jimmy and the witch. Pufnstuf and the cops (two ants named Cling & clang) go to aid Jimmy. Jimmy ends up on the shores of Living island (where every thing is alive) & is rescued by Pufnstuf & Co. The rest of the movie has the witch trying to get the magic flute in order to impress Boss Witch and her Friend Witch Hazel (Mama Cass Elliot), while Pufnstuf and Friends are attempting to find ways to get Jimmy off of the island. |

question about innapropriate taxi driver coming onto my husband?
heres my story, my partner went out with his brother, my sister in law n a mate, n came home that night n told me the taxi driver gave everyone her number n offered cheap taxis for cash. so that she didnt have to pay tax on the fare. i didnt really agree with this but i let it slide. i didnt go cos i have a baby to look after n metal clubs are not really my thing.anyway the next time they went out they called her n got the cab n she was real chatty to them they said, the next time again they called her to go home n dropped everyone else of then my partner last n he said that i quote "the old woman was flirting with me" shes in her 40s n we are in our late 20s so thats pretty nasty ey. anyway the next day we are at his mothers n he recieves a text message n shows me cos hit was making him very uncomfortable, the woman had kept the number n texted a dirty message to him that said " you wanna come round after my shift for some fun". we let it slide cos we assumed it was meant for someone else. id spoken to her the last time id been in the cab n said i had to go to sydney for 2 weeks so she thought i was there but my holiday was cut short. then a week later when i was out the woman called our home number(she had it from when i called from home to book one for them weeks before) she was inviting my husband round to her birthday. at this point we still thought the dirty message was for someone else so he replied ok, ill just ask the misses, n she said no thats ok ills e you another time n hung up.we really didnt feel comfortable with that, hes a happily married man n has never been denied sex from me ever. 2 weeks later my partner brought the phone to me again n said he just got another from her saying hi how are you, we didnt reply n another half an hour went by n she sent to him again, "you wanna come round for some fun, im waiting for you,i think you can do better (refering to me) so come around n DO me better. hmm.ive wanted you since you got in my cab that night". we wrote back, no thanks please dont send messages to me like that or at all. she replied have your fat ugly girlfriend then (wife)
my question is do you think this is bad enough that i should ring the taxi company n make a complaint about her.

Well it’s her word against yours. Expect a lot of lies and stuff if you file a complaint with the taxi company. You’ll be in a better position if you still have the texts she sent you.
On the other hand, if you want this woman to leave you alone, just tell her to back off and if she doesn’t you will file that complaint and tell her you still have all of her messages. I mean ‘punishing’ her will only increase her anger towards your husband, because she obviously feels rejected.

i literally feel like my heart skips a beat when i see him.?

I’m a 16 year old guy and I desperately need adventure.
I want to struggle and be independent and go try something new.
Up until very recently I was content with my life.
Content with just playing video games, going to school, going to friend’s houses, flirting with chicks, shtuff.
Now I’m sooo sick of it.
I think I was happy because I always had a milestone, for example driving, to look forward to or because I was young or something.
Now life is just really tedious.
I think this started when a close group of my friends (I’ve known them since I was 3) and I started discussing how we’d all go to college together, and struggle with money, or we’d go on a road trip for weeks.
We’re planning for summer after senior year.
It reminds me of this book we read in Lit class, Of Mice and Men, where brotherhood is all that matters.
I want that brotherhood and adventure NOW!
I used to sucked into all that gossip and popularity bullshit in freshman year but I’m really bored with it. I’ve gradually become decently popular over the course of three years and then when I stopped trying and working at it, BAM, i’m a loser again. I realized it’s just not worth it.
I don’t even want to go on an adventure where I’m revolutionizing something or setting a record or something.
I want to leave boring ole’ Wisconsin. This boring suburb. I’ve gotten sucha longing for "struggle" that my heart is actually aching.
The fact that my social life has practically evaporated over the course of two months probably helps too hehe.
I pretty much only hang with my pals every other week whereas last year I went to movies and the mall and hung out with girls.
I’m not frustrated with that though. I realize my bros are all I need but damn I need to get out of this hole I’m in. I feel like i’m soo much more mature than all the other kids!! But that’s probably because I find them vulgar now.

I am in the very same situation as you are. For the longest time I have felt like an out cast due to my maturity level. I do not get involved in gossip, or flirting around with guys my age. I just mind my own business and go to school for educational purposes. It is difficult to socialize with people my own age when all they can talk about is sex, drugs, and alcohol. Currently, I am at a loss. All I can look forward to is the future. That is all we can hope for. High school is an entirely separate world compared to the reality of life. Things will change when you graduate. Hang in there=) You can do it and know that you have family that are there to support you during these difficult times.
