IMDB rating: 5.50 Plot: Mr. Tako, the producer of a low rated television show called “Mysteries of the World”, decides his show needs some spicing up. So he sends two of his staff, Osamu Sakurai and Kinsaburo Furue, to Pharoh Island to bring back some berries, called soma, noted for their non-addictive narcotic effect. He also wants the two to bring back proof of a giant ape named King Kong. Before the pair leave, Osamu stops by his sister Fumiko’s apartment for dinner with her and her boyfriend, Kazuo Fujita. During his visit, Kazuo shows the two his new invention, a wire that is stronger than steel. In the meantime, a submarine collides with an iceberg releasing Godzilla, who was trapped there seven years earlier. When Osamu and Kinsaburo arrive at Pharoh, they not only find the berries but the giant ape. After a battle with a giant octopus, Kong drinks the juice that is made from the berries and falls asleep. While he is sleeping, the pair tie him to a raft and take him back to Japan. In the meantime, Godzilla is rampaging throughout the Japanese countryside. While in route to Japan, Kong breaks free and swims toward Japan and inevitably on a collision course with Godzilla. |

Do you think a remake of "King Kong vs Godzilla"would be a good movie?
I would watch it! I loved Godzilla and King Kong.

Yup and throw in Rodan near the end…

No because today’s movie makers produce movies for people with IQ’s of 50. The movie would be all loud noise and violence with no real plot. There would be less plot than even the original.

Heck yeah!
As a kid, I vaguely remember these two meeting before. But as strong as Godzilla still is in Japan (I think they’re still making Godzilla movies), I’m surprised they haven’t made a newer version.

well, you have a remake of Godzilla which sucked and a remake of King Kong, which was good albeit slightly pretentious, so if you put those together you might have something that’s really not bad but not worth watching.

Have you ever seen "Ultimate Showdown" by Lemon Demon?
That’s a movie.
Whoever said filmmakers make movies for people with IQ’S of 50 is right.
There would be basically no plot, and plus, the trend of having multiple villians, characters is a trend I like.
So basically, if it was a remake, it would suck.

yes, they already made a movie, called Kong: King of Skull Island which comes out in 2009

If they remake King Kong vs. Godzilla. I want Masaaki Tezuka (Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.) to diect it. But If it was US remake. I want Peter Jackson.
